What a great week we have had celebrating the joy of books and reading. Older pupils participated in an online zoom art lesson focussing on ‘The Secret Garden’ while our younger pupils got creative with ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’. Primary 7 pupils used their ICT skills to design book covers using Adobe. Primary 4 were fantastic reciting the story of ‘The Lost Sheep’ using their Talk for Writing strategies at their First Confession last night in St. Joseph’s Church. Our Book Fair generated great excitement as always. Everyone were amazing in their costumes depicting their favourite book characters and to cap the week off our wonderful Primary 5 pupils entertained us with an inspirational assembly promoting the importance and joy of reading. What a literacy rich environment we have in our school.
