We were delighted to commence our new school initiative today - The Daily Mile. Each class throughout the school took part in 15minutes of physical activity (running, jogging or walking to catch their breath). We will continue this each day and monitor how the children become fitter across the school year. The children loved the fresh air and freedom of being outside. It was a lovely opportunity to run alongside a friend and have a little chat. The route was measured out accurately by some P7 pupils who calculated that 8 laps of the playground would be needed to reach a total of 1609.34 metres-a MILE!
