On Tuesday 25th April we had a fantastic Maths Learning Day where a Pirate named Captain Richard Morgan arrived to our school during assembly. The children had to help Captain Morgan find his way back to his ship called 'The Good Ship Mathematics' by solving lots of maths problems and challenges. Every class had an opportunity to work with Captain Morgan on their own maths challenges. Each class explored number, shape and direction and the older children solved challenges on 2D shape, 3D shape, measurement, co-ordinates, fractions and mental calculations. The children succeeded in solving all the challenges and Captain Morgan made it back to his ship.
