There was great excitement in P6 as a special delivery arrived in our classroom - two brand new Izak 9 Maths cubes packed full of rich, visual games and activities covering a multitude of topics and the associated language. Pupils worked in teams to solve questions which required them to manoeuvre the cubes and we had brilliant discussion on the various approaches taken to solve the challenges. Perhaps the biggest challenge of all was reassembling the cubes at the end....it certainly got the loadest cheer of the afternoon! We can't wait to use it again - practical maths at it's best!!
