P7 were very fortunate to take part in a coding workshop over our Google Meet platform with an engineer from W5 called Phil. W5 have teamed up with Microsoft to run sessions for P7s across Northern Ireland.
Our session was themed – ‘Think like an engineer’ as part of British Science Week and focused on areas such as
Safe to say I was firmly in learning mode during this session! The pupils really enjoyed Phil's engaging style and had lots of opportunities to ask and answer questions. They learned how to break down problems, develop structured solutions and finished by designing their own ideas to help with every day problems in our world.
