St Joseph's Primary School Meigh

School Council 2016/17

16th Nov 2016

Pupils from P4-7 have recently elected their new school council for 2016/17. Each class held their own election where pupils gave speeches outlining why they would be a good representative for their class-mates and what qualities and ideas they would bring to the role. A secret vote was held and the successful children were announced.

This is a very important role for the new school councillors as they will also be helping work towards the school’s aim of becoming a “Rights Respecting School” as well as continuing the great work of previous school councils in coming up with school fund-raising ideas and ways of improving and taking care of our school facilities. They will always be there to help at playtime and keep an eye out for all our pupils. We are very confident they will be a great team and help reflect the thoughts and suggestions of the whole school! Good luck for the year ahead!
